Relationship of internet addiction severity with depression, anxiety, and alexithymia, temperament and character in university students.

摘要: Abstract The aim of the study was to investigate relationship Internet addiction (IA) severity with alexithymia, temperament, and character dimensions personality in university students while controlling for effect depression anxiety. A total 319 from two conservative universities Ankara volunteered study. Students were investigated using Toronto Alexithymia Scale-20, Temperament Character Inventory, Addiction Scale, Beck Anxiety Depression Inventory. Of enrolled study, 12.2 percent (n=39) categorized into moderate/high IA group (IA 7.2 percent, high risk 5.0 percent), 25.7 (n=82) mild group, 62.1 (n=198) without IA.
