A comparative study of child abuse in children with disruptive behavior disorders of different socioeconomic classes

摘要: Introduction Disruptive behavior disorders (DBD) may be described along a continuum as the emergence of oppositional defiant disorder, and precursor to conduct disorder. Several psychosocial factors have been mentioned regarding children with DBD; one them is child abuse (CA). However, minimal research has considered nature this factor cause or consequence, its compound effect on other such socioeconomic class (SEC). Aim work This aimed compare CA disciplinary style for DBD among different SEC relation severity. Participants methods The study included 80 children, divided into two groups, recruited from government private clinical settings, who were subjected psychiatric interview, neurological physical examinations, psychometric assessment using Achenbach Child Behavior Checklist-Diagnostic Statistical Manual-oriented scales, CBCL DSM-oriented scales assessment. Results in form emotional abuse, and/or neglect found both studied groups DBD, varied statistically between neglect. Physical related significantly diagnosis, mean scores SEC. Finally, presence more than type addition was scores, suggesting maltreatment severity children. Conclusion Children represented population at risk CA. lower SEC, symptoms' DBD. A compromised predicted severe symptoms compared either alone.
