Structure, reproductive status and dynamics of the otter population in Byelorussia

摘要: The study was carried out from 1982 - 1989 at seven stations located in various parts of Byelorussia. represented different land-use types. abundance and structure (spacial, sex, age) the otter Lutra Intra (Linnaeus, 1758) population some features breeding biology (time birth, female role reproduction, fecundity) were examined. Mortality both adult young animals, together with causes death, assessed. effects harvest man-made modifications to areas (mostly transformation natural waterbodies creation new water reservoirs) on populations studied.
