摘要: The 4-quinolones are broad spectrum antibacterials and therefore generally used as single antimicrobial agents. However, in certain situations, they can be combined with a second antibacterial to provide better anti-staphylococcal anti-streptococcal activity. For example, when empirically treating febrile episodes immunocompromised patients (Smith et al. 1988). Furthermore, it has been suggested that the should conjunction order prevent emergence of 4-quinolone-resistant organisms during therapy (Scully 1986; Farrag 1986).
