摘要: Covering: up to July 2018 Polyketides constitute a large family of natural products exhibiting various biological activities. Polyketide biosynthetic systems employ several strategies for the production structurally diverse polyketides. Among polyketide enzymes, growing number enzymes that catalyze Michael-type addition have been identified. These are responsible constructing unique backbone structures, forming heterocycles, and incorporating heteroatoms into backbone, all which contribute diversification structure. This review summarizes current understanding function catalyzing in biosynthesis, with particular focus on mechanistic studies.
