摘要: Abstract Background Multiple myeloma (MM) represents a malignancy of B-cells characterized by proliferation malignant plasma cells in the bone marrow (BM). Versican (VCAN), an extracellular matrix (ECM) protein, appears to be involved multiple processes several cancers. Identifying optimum diagnostic markers and delineating its association with disease severity might important for controlling MM. Methods Expression VCAN associated molecules (β-catenin, β1 integrin FAK) were investigated 60 subjects evaluate their usefulness as marker. Circulatory molecular levels above analyzed BM Blood using ELISA, Q-PCR western blotting along ROC curve analysis. Results VCAN, β-catenin FAK significantly higher patients varying significance each stage. β-Catenin intracellular elevated patients. mRNA all BMMNCs while also showed increase PBMCs. Upregulation these was observed at protein level. analysis absolute combination sensitivity specificity diagnosis serum. Conclusions Significant elevation imply role Optimal utilize importance potential marker active disease.
