摘要: Long-term memory formation consists of multiple phases. A new is initially labile and sensitive to disruption by a variety interfering events or agents. To become stable, this undergoes process known as consolidation, which, in the case declarative memories, occurs within medial temporal lobes requires gene expression. When recalled, memories re-enter phase vulnerability seem require reconsolidation order be maintained. Here we show that consolidation but not inhibitory avoidance expression transcription factor CCAAT enhancer binding protein β (C/EBPβ) hippocampus. Furthermore, same region, de novo synthesis essential for reconsolidation. C/EBPβ an evolutionarily conserved genetic marker has selective role reactivated
