摘要: The use of controlled modulus columns (CMC) is gaining increased popularity in the support rail and road bridge approach embankments on soft soils. further are driven into competent firm soils, design will rely inclusions to take bulk vertical loads, as they become rigid inclusions. advantage this that it produces control over settlement, but a result attract greater including bending moment shear force situations where non-uniform loading or ground conditions exist. load composite soil-CMC uniformly distributed by upper layer granular transfer platform (LTP), which also includes reinforcement. Finite difference program FLAC3D has been used numerically simulate an embankment improved with end-bearing CMC. A geosynthetic reinforcement simulated using inbuilt geogrid element. In paper, comparison made between drained coupled flow-deformation analyses. layer, particular, compared for two analysis approaches. It was found according numerical simulation, provides lower estimates lateral displacement; therefore, predicts less tension layer.
