摘要: AbstractIn this study, the efficiency of proposed formulations for plane-strain modeling vertical drain–assisted consolidation was evaluated. For aim, preloading process experimentally simulated using a fully instrumented large-scale Rowe cell. Nine pore-water-pressure transducers were installed in various locations to measure changes pore-water pressure during test. Two pressure/volume controllers connected an infinite-volume controller provide continuous water flow. Soft clays with predefined properties used form intact and smear zones. A numerical code developed by finite-difference program FLAC 2D simulate study conducted evaluate solutions converting axisymmetric state condition subsequently compared corresponding analysis. From results, it is observed that some methods ...
