摘要: Soil disturbance caused by the installation of prefabricated vertical drains (PVDs) has a large impact on rate consolidation. It is essential in design to quantify this effect. In paper, we investigate consolidation soils with PVDs installed triangular pattern using two-dimensional finite-element analysis full consideration effects. This done accounting for transition zone that exists between highly disturbed smear and undisturbed zone. The hydraulic conductivity assumed increase linearly from low value original situ actual band shape PVD hexagonal influence around it are used analysis. addition soil effects, size zones, spacing, mandrel also investigated. Guidelines given an equivalent system, where replaced expanded producing same equivalent-system approach allows use existing analytical solutions consider only design.
