摘要: Spectrum analysis procedures have been developed to improve upon the diagnostic capabilities afforded by conventional ultrasonic images. These analyze frequency content of broadband, coherent echo signals returned from body. They include calibration remove system artifacts and thereby provide quantitative measurements tissue backscatter. Several independent spectral parameters used establish databases for various organs; several investigations shown that these can be with statistical classifiers identify type. Locally computed spectra generate sets images displaying parameters. Stained derived analyzing parameter using color denote type (e.g., cancer). This report describes spectrum procedures, discusses how measured are related physical properties, summarizes results describing estimator precision. It also presents illustrative clinical showing such being adapted address specific problems a number organs. indicates where further developments needed suggests techniques may image segmentation three-dimensional displays volumetric assays.
