摘要: Well-being or quality of life is thought to give a more accurate picture the impact condition has on day-to-day functioning than traditional outcome measures. This study sought examine relationship between engagement in play and well-being for preschool children with without developmental coordination disorder (DCD). A quasi-experimental design was used two independent groups aged 4-6 years (n=32) (n=31) probable DCD. Play skills were assessed using Observation Scale based 30min videotape free-play at preschool. parent-proxy version Revised Children Quality Life Questionnaire (KINDL(R)). Spearman rho correlations performed well-being. significantly lower DCD group however overall not different. Engagement type social (solitary, parallel group) found predict typically developing children. For DCD, associated An explanation this difference may be that experience as "play" but rather hard work.
