摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter describes layered double hydroxides. Among the group of minerals referred to as nonsilicate oxides and hydroxides, hydroxides (LDH) have many physical chemical properties that are surprisingly similar those clay minerals. Their structure, wide compositions (because variable isomorphous substitution metallic cations), layer charge density, ion-exchange properties, reactive interlayer space, swelling in water, rheological colloidal make LDH clay-like. However, because their anion-exchange were “anionic clays.” Most metals first transition series can be incorporated into hydroxyl sheet hydrotalcite-like structure. Thus, formation mixed metal-Al secondary precipitates may a general reaction mechanism for metal adsorption
