摘要: Excretory treatment modalities that excrete pathological substances outside human body deserve more research attention as this may potentiate the therapeutic effects of pharmacological treatments. Overcoming language barrier through translating national medical literature to English be introduced international is vital. Wet cupping therapy (WCT) prophetic medicine (Al-hijamah) practiced in Arabic where it reported treat many diseases differing etiology and pathogenesis. Al-hijamah referred bloodletting or blood studies reports from countries. Both Chinese dry WCT are partial steps Al-hijamah. In article, we review scientific principles, methodology, indications benefits comparison with acupuncture other types therapy. Scientific bases were recently evidence-based Taibah mechanism (Taibah theory) only excretory clears blood, lymph intercellular fluids causative (CPS). histological structure skin performing a percutaneous pressure-dependent size-dependent non-specific filtration excretion CPS fenestrated capillaries upon application negative pressure suction using sucking cups. also production endogenous nitric oxide (vasodilator, antineoplastic antimicrobial agent). exerts health e.g. enhancement immunity potentiation. was clear significantly serum triglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, ferritin (circulating iron stores), uric acid, autoantibodies, cytokine receptors others. Those some hyperlipidemia, hypertension, atherosclerosis, coronary heart diseases, gout, musculoskeletal pain conditions, hepatitis overload conditions thalassemia.
