摘要: Abstract Trammel net size selectivity was studied for the most important metiers in four southern European areas: Cantabrian Sea (Atlantic, Basque Country, Spain), Algarve Portugal), Gulf of Cadiz Spain) and Cyclades Islands (Mediterranean, Aegean Sea, Greece). These were: cuttlefish ( Sepia officinalis ) soles Solea senegalensis , Microchirus azevia Synaptura lusitanica Cadiz, sole solea mixed fin-fish Cyclades. In each area, experimental trammel nets six different types (combinations two large outer panel mesh sizes three small inner meshes) were constructed. Fishing trials carried out on a seasonal basis (four seasons Cadiz) with chartered commercial fishing vessels. Overall, estimated 17 28 species which sufficient data available. generally caught wide range species, length frequency distributions that skewed to right and/or bi-modal. many cases highly overlapped. The Kolmogorov–Smirnov test also showed meshes had no effect terms selectivity, while opposite true ones. Six models (normal scale, normal location, gamma, log-normal, bi-modal gamma semi-Wileman) fitted abundant areas. For fish, model provided best fits majority sets, uni-modal giving poor cases. where trammelling or pocketing method capture 100% cases, logistic by maximum likelihood judged be more appropriate describing selective properties nets. Our results, are among first ones waters, will useful evaluating impacts competing gear socio-economically small-scale static fisheries.
