摘要: The objective of the study is to present our multicentric experience on intraorbital lesions managed by means an endonasal endoscopic approach. design used was multi-institutional retrospective review. We collected data 16 medially-located lesions, all route, treated in four different skull base centers. retrospectively reviewed technical details, complications, histology, and general outcome. approach effective removing completely extra-intraconal tumors 8 cases, performing biopsies for histological diagnosis 6 intraconal tumors, draining 1 extraconal abscess. No major complications were observed; particular, there no optic nerve damage. Minor, temporary (diplopia) seen 3 cases; only 2 patients experienced a permanent diplopia related medial rectus muscle impairment, case associated with enophthalmos. Our preliminary multi-centric clinical suggests that medially located particular infero-medial ones, can be successfully safely such well-known advantages techniques, namely lack external scars, less bleeding, shorter hospital stay, fewer are confirmed.
