摘要: Transmission of the protozoan parasite Neospora caninum between wild and domestic animals has gained some interest during recent years. Because close relationship gray wolf (Canis lupus) dog it been suggested that is a definitive host for parasite. The aim this study was to estimate seroprevalence N. in Scandinavian wolves investigate any geographical patterns infection. investigation based on blood samples collected from 109 1998 2009 within project Skandulv. They were analysed by iscom ELISA those with absorbance values exceeding 0.20 also immunoblotting. Samples positive both tests deemed positive. Four (3.7%) at first sampling. all sampled 2005 different locations, females males. From one male three over 7-year period. No antibodies detected sampling when he approximately 8 months old but again 5 7 years later immunoblotting results indicate infection present wolves. It unclear how acquired
