摘要: During the illumination of etiolated barley plants a rapid decline NADPH: protochlorophyllide oxidoreductase is observed. Within first 5 min continuous light approximately 90% enzyme activity present in dark-grown disappears and, at same time, amount protein diminished by more than 60%. No stable polypeptide fragments have been found which might be formed during light-induced degradation protein. The rate synthesis not drastically affected beginning period. subsequent light-dependent chloroplast development phytochrome-induced synthesis, concomittant with protein, leads to progressive decrease concentration enzyme. After 6 h light, when chlorophyll accumulation its greatest, only traces are visible and no longer detectable within plants. In contrast previous concepts biosynthesis higher plants, our results evidence that functions for short time period after onset light.
