Risk xerophthalmia was significantly higher for from without any indicators relative wealth used. Almost 80% blind came landless households, even a very small garden reduced considerably chances household having xerophthalmic child. Poorer with access less than 0.3 acres land or no tin roof, wristwatch, radio cycle were at least twice as likely their more fortunate neighbours have young child type xerophthalmia. Taking account such socio-environmental risk factor weightings would direct scarce resources intervention programmes who most need them.
