Photoluminescent Aerogels from Quantum Wells

摘要: Highly porous self-supported three-dimensional aerogel monoliths are synthesized from strongly quantum confined wells, namely, 5 monolayer thick CdSe and CdSe/CdS core/crown nanoplatelets. The aerogels by hydrogelation of the aqueous well solutions subsequent supercritical drying. optically characterized UV–vis absorption spectroscopy, emission photoluminescence (PL) decay analysis. Morphological structural characterizations achieved transmission electron microscopy, scanning X-ray diffractometry. macroscopic exhibit extremely low densities 0.038 ± 0.007 g·cm–3 a significantly high specific surface area 219 m2·g–1 with nearly entirely (111) as exposed crystal facet. Moreover, feature properties related to confinement comparable those their original building blocks yields up 10.3%.
