摘要: Kawasaki disease is rarely complicated by cranial nerve VII palsy. This report describes a 15-month-old female presenting with 3 days of fever, irritability, and rash who was subsequently diagnosed treated intravenous immunoglobulin. She found to have mild coronary artery ectasia developed an acute, transient, left-sided facial palsy on the sixth day illness. Repeat echocardiography demonstrated worsening aneurysm methylprednisolone added her treatment regimen. At 1 months post-discharge, resolution aneurysm. case makes 41 total described in literature. Patients tend be under 12-months-old there higher association such patients compared those without never even received treatment. associated may indicate increased inflammatory burden require additional anti-inflammatory agents more vigilant echocardiography.
