摘要: Thymoquinone (TQ) is the predominant bioactive constituent present in black seed oil (Nigella sativa) and has been tested for its efficacy against cancer. Here, we summarize literature about TQ's molecular mechanism of action ability to induce apoptosis inhibit tumor growth preclinical models. TQ anti-inflammatory effects, it inhibits cell proliferation through modulation signaling, inhibition angiogenesis, cycle arrest. Chemosensitization by mostly limited vitro studies, potential therapeutic strategy The results favor enhancement benefit cells resistant therapy based on cellular targets that are determinants cancer survival progression. There have attempts synthesize novel analogs directed toward superior effects killing with more enhanced chemosensitizing than parent compound. Based published reports, believe further in-depth studies warranted including investigation bioavailability Phase I toxicity profiling human subjects. from such will be instrumental advancing this field support initiating clinical trials testing ancient agent therapy.
