摘要: Differences in the distribution of diverse cell surface coat markers were found between Naegleria fowleri and lovaniensis. The presence carbohydrate-containing components two species was detected by selective staining with ruthenium red alcian blue. Using both markers, N. presented a thicker deposit than existence exposed mannose or glucose residues revealed discriminatory agglutination plant lectin Concanavalin A. These sugar also visualized at these parasites either transmission electron microscopy fluorescein-tagged this cap formation induced only fowleri. anionic sites on means cationized ferritin more apparent Biotinylation assays confirmed that even though amoebae have some analogous plasma membrane proteins, there is clear difference their composition.
