摘要: Background: When compared with conventional abdominoperineal resection (APR), extralevator excision (ELAPE) has been demonstrated to reduce the risk of local recurrence for treatment locally advanced low rectal cancer. Combined laparoscopic technique, ELAPE (LELAPE) potential invasion and hasten postoperative recovery. In this study, we aim investigate advantages LELAPE in comparison APR. Methods: From October 2010 February 2013, 23 patients cancer (T 3-4 N 0-2 M 0 ) underwent LELAPE; while during same period, 25 were treated The patient characteristics, intraoperative data, complications, follow-up results retrospectively analyzed. Results: basic characteristics similar; but total operative time was longer than that APR group ( P = 0.014). However, perineal portion comparable between two groups 0.328). had less blood loss 0.022), a lower bowel perforation rate 0.023), positive circumferential margin 0.028). Moreover, patients, who received LELAPE, Visual Analog Scale, quicker recovery function 0.001), shorter hospital stay 0.047). suffered more chronic pain 0.002), which may be related coccygectomy 0.033). Although metastasis mortality similar groups, statistically improved Conclusions: APR, recurrence, decreases
