摘要: Amphibian populations are globally threatened by emerging infectious diseases, and 2 pathogens in particular recognized as major threats: the amphibian chytrid fungus Batra- chochytrium dendrobatidis (Bd) ranaviruses. Here, we evaluated prevalence of infection Bd ranavirus an assemblage frogs from a lowland wet forest Costa Rica. We found overall 21.3% for 16.6% ranavirus, detected both widely among our 20 sampled species. positive association between one 4 most commonly also but non-significant asso- ciation be tween species overall. Our study is first detailed evaluations American tropics, to knowledge detect any Considerable research attention has focused on ecology tropical regions, yet argue that greater focus necessary understand conservation impact ranaviruses already decimated emergence Bd.
