摘要: Background The aim of the present study was to estimate incidence type 2 diabetes (T2D) and number events attributable abdominal obesity in China. Methods A cohort conducted a sample 24 996 Chinese adults aged 35–74 years, with 19.9% subjects lost follow-up. Waist circumference (WC) measured at baseline 1998 2000–01, defined as WC ≥ 90 cm men ≥80 cm women. Information on incident collected during follow-up 2007–08. We estimated T2D attributed using confounder-adjusted population-attributable risk, diabetes, population size China 2010. Results After mean 8.0 age-standardized 9.6 9.2 per 1000 person-years women, respectively. Abdominal accounted for 28.1% (95% confidence interval [CI] 14.8%, 40.5%) among 41.2% CI 28.3%, 52.6%) women diagnostic criteria recommended by International Diabetes Federation. that, 2010, 2.4 1.5, 3.2) million were obesity: 1.0 0.5, 1.4) 1.4 1.0, 1.8) women. Conclusions Abdominal is major risk factor T2D. Strengthening programs initiatives preventing controlling focusing lifestyle changes should be priority national strategy reduce burden China.
