摘要: Dentistry is a relatively new field in veterinary medicine, despite the fact that dental disease common dogs and cats. Obstacles to development of treatments animals include diversity dentition among species, difficulty administration oral treatments, different presentations disease, cost regulatory approval for each species. Mechanical removal plaque calculus has been mainstay periodontal treatment humans. New adjunctive therapies, as well applications older drugs, are being introduced therapy.
