摘要: The aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) has long been recognized as a ligand-activated transcription factor responsible for the induction of drug-metabolizing enzymes. Its role in combinatorial matrix cell functions was established before first report an AHR cDNA sequence published. It is only recently that other this protein have begun to be recognized, and it now clear also pathways outside its well-characterized xenobiotic enzyme induction. Perturbation these by ligands may ultimately explain much toxicity compounds. This chapter focuses on interactions critical cycle regulation, mitogen-activated kinase cascades, differentiation apoptosis. Ultimately, effect particular ligand biology organism will depend milieu proteins expressed specific cells tissues with which itself interacts.
