摘要: Identification of the key molecules that mediate susceptibility to anticancer treatments would be highly desirable. Based on clinical and cell biological studies, we recently proposed regenerating gene (REG) Iα may such a molecule. In present study, hypothesized REG increases radiosensitivity through activation mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathways. To test idea, transfected TE-5 TE-9 squamous esophageal cancer cells with examined its involvement in MAPK signaling effect radiotherapy. We found Iα-expressing showed increased expression c-Jun messenger RNA (mRNA) phospho-c-Jun mediated via N-terminal (JNK) pathway extracellular signal-regulated (ERK) pathway, as well radiosensitivity. Immunohistochemical analysis confirmed tumors expressing Iα. Collectively, these findings suggest activates JNK ERK thereby enhancing
