摘要: The structure of longitudinal rolls a fluid with low Prandtl number in differentially heated shallow cavity is considered. Computational results, carried out by pseudo-spectral method, include the calculation velocity and temperature fields. secondary variables including energy, transfer rates from base flow, buoyancy field, dissipation fields, give physical picture flow. experimental investigation verified existence rolls, wavelengths oscillation frequencies reasonable agreement theory. However, they occurred at much larger Grashof than expected, which suggests need for stability study transverse stationary cells.
