摘要: The distinction between primary sweat gland carcinomas and metastatic breast carcinoma to the skin is sometimes difficult. In an effort improve this discrimination, we compared immunohistochemical staining pattern of 42 (SGCs) with 30 metastases from (BC) skin, 125 BCs, noncutaneous BCs. antibodies used were against receptors for epidermal growth factor (EGF-R), estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone (PR). frequencies positive as follows EGF-R: 34 (81%) SGCs, 5 (17%) BCs 28 (22%) 6 (20%) BC metastases. For ER, 9 (21%) SGCs 10 (33%) skin. PR 8 (19%) (27%) These results suggest that expression EGF-R may be diagnostically helpful, because it strongly associated when (P < .0001). This association also present ductal eccrine apocrine types SGC, which are histologic subtypes SGC most difficult distinguish BC, separately analyzed .001). ER in not significantly different.
