摘要: Abstract Of 36 patients, 17 had oral leukoplakia, including homogeneous and nonhomogeneous types, 19 reticular lesions of lichen planus. A sample yeast flora in each patient was taken from the pathologic lesion as well normal-appearing mucosa. The isolated yeasts were identified according to species level, identification extended beyond level for one species, Candida albicans , reveal biotype by means Odds Abbott procedure comprising tests acid salt tolerance, proteinase production, resistance 5-fluorocytosine safranine, assimilation urea, sorbose, citrate. Yeasts present 82% leukoplakia compared 37% planus a frequency corresponding that healthy adults. C. dominating both diseases, constituting all lesions. In addition, following identified: Canadia tropicalis, pintolopesii, Torulopsis glabrata Saccharomyces cerevisiae . Eighteen biotypes encountered, most frequently occurring being 355 177. Differences between normal mucosa encountered five eleven patients three patients. This indicates cavity comprises several ecologic niches yeasts. As leukoplakias are more likely develop into carcinoma than leukoplakias, it is interesting note nodular (one type leukoplakia)—biotypes 145, 175, 575—rarely occur. observation might indicate possible causal role some transformation carcinoma.
