摘要: Abstract Vernonia galamensis is a new potential industrial oilseed crop originated in eastern and southeastern parts of Ethiopia. Its unique properties make it economically environmentally interesting. No effort has been made so far Ethiopia to improve this crop. Therefore, an evaluation work for 17 yield component traits was conducted at three contrasting agroclimatic zones. The considered showed significant differences all locations except the characters days emergence maturity. best producing accessions terms yields kg oil/ha (kg/ha seed multiplied by oil%) Alemaya were varieties collected Bedeno, Chirro Gelemso which produce 1627.45, 1593.46 1582.95 oil/ha, respectively. Accessions from (1194.75 oil/ha), Bedeno (1187.14 Metta (1157.49 oil/ha) superior Harar, while Harar Zuria, 274.48, 244.33 230.74 respectively, Babile. These materials could be used as parent start breeding programs each specific location. There wide range variation between minimum maximum values most characters. Thus even within limited germplasm studied, selection improved characteristics appears possible V. var. ethiopica.
