摘要: Abstract Pairs of influenza A(H1N1) viruses cultivated from the same clinical specimen in canine kidney (MDCK) cells or embryonated hens' eggs can frequently be distinguished by their reactions with monoclonal antibodies to haemagglutinin and ferret human sera. Egg-adapted virus, further passaged MDCK cultures remained ”egg-like” serological characteristics indicating that differences were not a direct result host cell-dependent glycosylation haemagglutinin. Haemagglutination-inhibiting (HI) virus neutralizing sera detected more frequently, higher titre, tests employing grown exclusively than adapted growth eggs. Striking HI when ferrets infected egg-grown tested against series strains isolated 1983 In contrast, MDCK-derived failed distinguish serologically between had been also revealed relatively small egg-adapted counterparts. It was concluded cell substrate used for isolation cultivation is factor should considered interpreting results strain characterization isolates sero-surveys using these viruses.
