摘要: The purpose of this work was to evaluate if it possible measure the alcohol concentration in breath by a multisensor array, i.e. an electronic nose. most important aspects were clarify technical advantages and disadvantages technique is at all suitable for forensic analysis. Even though system set-up far from optimal clear that quantify with best-case root mean square error=16.8 mol ppm ethanol (=0.037 mg/l). However, method needs significant development especially sensor devices. array composed ten metal oxide silicon field effect transistors (MOSFET) various catalytic gates one infrared-based CO2 sensor. evaluated monitoring five test persons after intake alcohol. Gas chromatography used parallel actual concentration. Different data evaluation techniques applied projection latent structure (PLS) artificial neural networks (ANN).
