摘要: The relation between a three-dimensional state of strain and the optical phase retardation in single mode fiber is formalized by drawing together classical crystal optics waveguide theory. Neumann's optic relations are described form usable sensor design. These then combined with weakly guiding theory to develop an integral which relates shift structurally embedded interferometric induced field. This process leads previously undisclosed, additional dispersion term contributes on same order total as does derived Butter Hocker (1978). Still, however, effects found be negligibly small, even three- dimensional loading. Hocker's equation complete phase-strain model developed herein can give very similar results...
