摘要: Summarizes the normal strain coupling from an isotropic material into embedded optical fiber which serves as a sensor. The sensor is based on single-mode polarization-maintaining fibers and sensitive to all three strains. It shown analytically that six such sensors can monitor complete state of host provided direction polarization axes are properly orientated.
