摘要: An experimental method is presented to determine the mechanical behaviour of composite laminated plates subjected bending. Cross-ply glass-polypropylene laminates are equipped with fibre-optic sensors situated centrally in plates, at various locations through thickness. Characterization tests first carried out verify specimen quality and ensure reproducibility global response. The influence embedded optical fibres upon properties also assessed. Electronic speckle-pattern interferometry fibre optic then used a combined manner reach full understanding deformation three-point bending tests. In- out-of-plane speckle employed measure full-field displacements strain on surface while distribution thickness derived using Bragg grating sensors. found be nonlinear for greatest chosen plate thicknesses.
