摘要: Photonic topological insulators supporting unidirectional topologically protected edge states represent attractive platform for realization of disorder- and backscattering-immune transport excitations in both linear nonlinear regimes. In many realizations structured periodic materials are used, since they may admit specific Dirac degeneracy the spectrum, around which appear under action physical effects breaking time-reversal symmetry. While properties at unclosed interfaces two bulk media with different topology known, existence practical finite-dimensional fully immersed nontopological environment remains largely unexplored. this work using as an example realistic polariton built from small-size honeycomb arrays microcavity pillars, we illustrate how system build up upon gradual increase its dimensionality. To account dissipative nature condensate forming array consider impact losses resonant pump leading to rich bistability system. We describe mechanism accordance trivial-phase "selects" excites circulating along periphery structure azimuthal direction dictated by external applied magnetic field. also show possibility utilization vortex charges selective excitation currents.
