摘要: Changes in ecosystem area are often used to assess human impacts on habitats and estimate biodiversity change. However, because species respond structural changes at fine spatial scales the use of alone may not capture all relevant changes. Operational costs limit assessment change a simultaneously resolution large scales. The development cost-effective expedite methods monitor is therefore required. We open access satellite imagery data investigate importance variables habitat extent structure explaining richness community dissimilarity forest open-land birds regional scale. Moreover, Mediterranean landscapes subject seasonal dynamics, we explore indicator value remotely sensed measured spring summer. A large-scale dataset bird occurrence data, including 8042 observations 78 species, distributed by 40 landscape-sized cells, was assembled from GBIF after controlling for quality. found that summer imagery, when green perennial vegetation more apparent, particularly suited model diversity patterns distribution tree cover landscape well captured. Overall, measures predictors Also, able successfully conduct scale analysis using open-access which illustrates their potential inform monitoring.
