摘要: Diverticular disease (DD) of the colon represents a common clinical condition affecting from one-fourth to one-third population in developed countries. Several epidemiological studies have clearly shown that last decades rates clinic visits and hospital admissions for DD its complications are progressively increased. In addition, associated high mortality rate continues unabated despite advances surgery intensive care. As consequence, burden on health care resources has significantly increased over time, leading among main causes spending gastrointestinal diseases. this review most important data regarding utilization costs analyzed some proposals reducing systems hypothesized.
