摘要: Tumor location can profoundly affect morbidity and patient prognosis, even for the same tumor type. Very little is known about whether determined stochastically or genetic risk factors where tumors arise within an organ system. We have taken advantage of Nf1−/+;Trp53−/+cis mouse model astrocytoma/glioblastoma to map loci affecting astrocytomas are found in spinal cord. identify a locus on distal Chr 5, termed Scram1 cord resistance astrocytoma modifier 1, with LOD score 5.0 genome-wide significance P < 0.004. Mice heterozygous C57BL/6J×129S4/SvJae at this show less compared 129S4/SvJae homozygous mice, although we shown previously that mice more resistant than C57BL/6J. Furthermore, older mice. Because very rare difficult treat, better understanding govern spine may lead new targets therapy prevention.
