摘要: Abstract The microstructure evolution and texture development of the intermetallic compound Ni76Al24, doped with minor additions boron was investigated in great detail as a function rolling reduction at ambient temperature. found to become extremely inhomogeneous by formation microbands (MB) shear bands (SB). Dislocation cell not observed. is interpreted terms forced planar slip L12 crystal structure. This causes strong work hardening destabilizes deformation while shear-band promoted. very weak resembles copper-type up high degrees rolling. strongest component brass orientation ({110}〉112〈) after large reductions; it attributed orientations inside bands. No twinning observed, even for liquid nitrogen
