摘要: The present study assessed the physical health of a population girls sentenced to custody in large US State via medical examinations and clinical assessments adolescence young adulthood. Findings indicated that injuries, obesity, sexually transmitted diseases were norm, with over 50% meeting criteria for each these problems. A dose–response relationship was documented between childhood victimization injuries injury risk self-harm, HIV risk, symptoms, hospitalizations poor adult fully mediated by health-risk behaviors adolescence. Clinical policy implications high mortality morbidity among female juvenile offenders are discussed.
