摘要: Early attempts to establish animal models for the study of Helicobacter pylori pathogenesis and therapeutics were unsuccessful. In fact, Koch’s postulates H. as causative agent gastritis first fulfilled in human volunteers rather than animals.1,2 Subsequent develop followed two major strategies. First, gastric species other H identified natural or experimental hosts used infection. addition, efforts continued colonization with an host. Animal that fall into both these categories will be described below. To adequately assess utilize model, careful comparison pathology progression disease humans must performed. With this mind, lesions below compared those infected humans, distinctions drawn where necessary. The utility each model also discussed.
