摘要: The objective of this study was to examine the effects grafting and kinds rootstocks on yield that are economically feasible for watermelon producer. Fruit characteristics quality attributes grafted plants in open field conditions were also analyzed. tongue approach method adopted. Three Watermelon cultivars ‘Crimson Tide’, ‘Dumara’, ‘Farao’ used as scion. hybrid squashes ‘Dynamo’, ‘RS-841’, ‘Shintosa’ rootstocks. Results showed some fruit indicators such dry matter, total soluble solids, sugar titratable acid contents lower while lycopene remained unchanged. pH slightly altered by grafting. Use rootstock did not show advantages at comparable indicators. shape index, rind thickness, weight, marketable significantly influenced increased previously mentioned values which is related with yield, compared non-grafted plant. Analyses proved use an advantageous alternative production.
