摘要: Progress in the development of systems for murine oocyte growth and maturation invitro is described. Fully grown germinal vesicle stage oocytes undergo spontaneous meiotic when liberated from Graafian follicles cultured appropriate medium. When compared to ova induced mature invivo by administration exogeneous gonadotropins, equivalent percentages spontaneously matured were fertilized developed live offspring. The presence a high molecular weight component serum was found be essential during culture order become fertilizable. All sera tested contained similar activity except human cord serum. None hormones or factors that could substitute A higher percentage became fertilizable cumulus cells present maturation.
