摘要: The main goal of treating hypertension is to reduce blood pressure physiological levels and thereby prevent risk cardiovascular disease hypertension-associated target organ damage. Despite reductions in major factors the availability a plethora effective antihypertensive drugs, control values still poor due multiple including apparent drug resistance lack adherence. An explanation for this problem related current reductionist ‘trial-and-error’ approach management hypertension, as we may oversimplify complex nature not pay enough attention heterogeneity pathophysiology clinical presentation disorder. Taking into account specific factors, genetic phenotype, pharmacokinetic characteristics, other particular features unique each patient, would allow personalized managing disease. Personalized medicine therefore represents tailoring medical treatment individual characteristics patient expected become paradigm future healthcare. advancement systems biology research rapid development high-throughput technologies, well characterization different –omics, have contributed shift modern biological from traditional hypothesis-driven designs toward data-driven studies facilitated evolution or precision chronic diseases such hypertension.
