Eye health promotion and the prevention of blindness in developing countries: critical issues.

摘要: This review explores the role of health promotion in prevention avoidable blindness developing countries. Using examples from eye and other topics countries, demonstrates that effective involves a combination three components: education directed at behaviour change to increase adoption behaviours uptake services; improvements services such as strengthening patient increased accessibility acceptability; advocacy for improved political support policies. Current activities can benefit by drawing on experiences gained especially use social research behavioural models understand factors determining decision making appropriate choice methods settings. The challenge ahead is put into practice what we know does work. An expansion advocacy-the third most undeveloped component promotion-is essential convince governments channel resources goals Vision 2020.
