摘要: Abstract Puma or sussuarana ( concolor ) is the second largest feline in American continent and has an ample latitudinal distribution very diverse habitats. In relation to its conservation status, puma considered extinction-threatened species. The study of testis morphology spermatogenic process a species fundamental for establishing physiologic patterns that will make possible selection protocols assisted reproduction. A number peculiarities associated with reproductive biology specific such as duration can be used determine frequency sperm collection. Nine adult male pumas maintained captivity were relative stages seminiferous epithelium cycle. Three them received intra-testicular injections 0.1 ml tritiated thymidine cycle, subjected biopsy 7 days later. cycle was didactically described into eight by tubular method. total one calculated 9.89 days, approximately 44.5 are required development spermatozoon from spermatogonia. spermiogenesis, prophase other events meiosis 14.08, 15.20 1.79 respectively. pre-meiotic, meiotic post-meiotic phases 3.98, 4.12
